How to play Picture Logic Daily

Picture Logic Daily is a nonogram: numbered clues describe groups of filled squares in each row and column. Combine the clues to reveal the hidden picture without guessing the image first.

1. Choose a 5×5, 10×10 or 15×15 grid. Read the clues to the left of each row and above each column.
2. A clue such as 2 1 means a run of two filled squares followed by a run of one, with at least one empty square between the runs.
3. Tap a square to cycle through filled, X and blank. Use X for a square you have ruled out.
4. Compare intersecting rows and columns. Fill all the picture squares and leave non-picture squares unfilled to finish; use Hint for one unresolved cell if needed.

Plan your next move

Start with a line whose clues use almost all of its space. In a five-square row, a clue of 5 fills the entire row. A clue of 3 must cover the middle square wherever that run starts; this overlap gives you one certain placement.

After placing a full run, mark separating spaces where the clues require them. Then use those new facts in the crossing lines. Keep the clue order: a row labeled 2 1 cannot be solved by placing the single square before the pair.

What does a zero clue mean?

A zero means that the row or column contains no filled squares. Its cells can be marked with X to help you remember that they are empty.

Must every empty square be marked X?

No. The puzzle finishes when every required picture square is filled and no other square is filled. X marks help you reason, while incorrect fills and hints affect the result.
