How to play Daily Spider Solitaire

Daily Spider Solitaire asks you to clear eight complete runs of cards. A finished run descends from King to Ace in one suit and is removed from the tableau when it is complete.

  1. Choose 1 Suit, 2 Suits or 4 Suits. Select a face-up card or an unbroken descending run of the same suit.
  2. Select a destination column whose bottom card is one rank higher than the first card you are moving. You can also move a valid card or run to an empty column.
  3. Expose covered cards and build same-suit runs. Use Undo to reconsider a recent move.
  4. Use Deal next row when you need more cards. Every column must contain a card before you can deal. Complete all eight runs to finish.

Plan your next move

A mixed-suit placement can expose a useful card, but only a descending same-suit sequence moves together. Prefer moves that uncover a face-down card or bring matching suits together without trapping a long run.

An empty column gives you room to rearrange cards. Use it deliberately, and remember that you must refill it before dealing another row from the stock. Review the tableau for useful moves before adding ten more cards.

Must the destination card have the same suit?

The destination must be one rank higher; it can be a different suit. However, a sequence can move as a group only when its cards descend in the same suit.

Why is the next deal blocked?

You must fill every empty tableau column before dealing the next row. The deal also requires at least ten cards remaining in the stock.
